It’s been a busy week! Actually, it’s always a busy week in the library! But this week was special because of Sports Day and some new library plans.

Grades 1 & 2
一年级和二年级
First and second grade got to experience a new author, Jory John, and his picture book series about funny foods. Ms. Isabel read the first book in the series, The Bad Seed, about a grumpy and rude sunflower seed. Readers learn about the seed’s tragic past and how he eventually works hard to become a good seed. 三年级
Cece seems to have escaped the tyrannical friendship of Laura, but now she’s facing new problems with her new friend Ginny! It’s easy to imagine how Batman would stand up for himself, but it’s much harder to practice in the real world. We learn that Cece loves watching all kinds of TV shows because there’s no pressure for her to understand what they’re saying. It’s from one of these TV shows that she creates her superhero name: El Deafo!
