Some big transitions happened this week! Ms. Isabel officially said goodbye, so Ms. Claire will now be teaching the first and second grade students as well. For the rest of the semester, Ms. Claire will be reading the Panda Book Award books to the students so that they can vote on their favorites at the end of January. Our younger primary students will be reading books from the Younger list and our older primary students will be reading books from the Middle and Middle Graphics lists.

Have you ever used a Crayola crayon? I know I have, and I love them! This book tells the true story of how Crayola crayons were invented. Through hard work and a lot of experiments, Edwin Binney created a crayon that was great for kids and could make beautiful art. When we finished reading The Crayon Man by Natascha Biebow, students were given a purple crayon to name creatively.
