When we left our story last week, Hugo had been captured by the station inspector. Mr. Armstrong’s grade 8 class continued learning about our databases and how to research. This included an in-depth walk-through of both of our databases, Britannica and JSTOR, a guided exercise on source evaluation using the TRAPPED method, brainstorming using mind maps, and note-taking using a top-down bullet point method or the collegiate-level Cornell method. It was a lot of information, but thank you so much to the students for sticking it out with me!
