Younger Primary G1-2 年级小学生
In Duck for President by Doreen Cronin, Duck, tired of doing farm chores, decides to run for office and replace Farmer Brown, quickly learning that leadership isn’t as easy as it seems. Ambitious and determined, Duck continues climbing the political ladder, eventually becoming President of the United States. Despite achieving great success, Duck realizes he prefers the simplicity of farm life and returns home, appreciating his old responsibilities. Ms. Ray also recommended other books about presidents and voting, such as I Voted: Making a Choice Makes a Difference by Mark Shulman and Bad Kitty for President by Nick Bruel.

Older Primary G3-5 年级小学生
This week, we finished reading the chapter book Princess Cora and the Crocodile by completing the last three chapters together. After her adventurous day, Princess Cora became brave enough to sit down and have an honest conversation with her family. In the end, her family reached a compromise, allowing Princess Cora to start living a happier life.

We had two primary classes work with Ms. Claire in Library A this week–what a fun treat!

On Wednesday, Ms. Claire worked with G5-2 to teach them how to use Britannica. Britannica is one of our school’s databases, and it is a great source for getting high-quality information. These students were researching a nonfiction topic of their choice, and Britannica was able to provide some great articles!

On Friday, Ms. Kelly’s G4-3 class came to library A to search for nonfiction books for their research projects as well. It’s always a joy to help students find books!
