Younger Primary G1-2 年级小学生
Our younger primary students read a nonfiction book called Fly Guy Presents: Monster Trucks by Tedd Arnold. It taught us about the body and frame of monster trucks, as well as different tricks and tracks, such as the circle track, J-shaped track, and straight-line track. We also watched a 3-minute monster truck competition video to learn about some cool tricks, like the “Big Air” and “Wheelie.” Tune in next week for another Fly Guy adventure!

Our older primary students read Roald Dahl’s second autobiography, Going Solo. We learned about one of his most thrilling air crashes in Africa. Roald Dahl was mistakenly sent to a no-man’s-land in the desert. Realizing he couldn’t fly back due to low fuel, he had to attempt a forced landing in the desert as darkness fell. His aircraft hit a boulder and burst into flames, putting Roald Dahl’s life in grave danger. How did he survive?!

Check out the beautiful “She Series” art by Karen Hallion on our “Women Can Do Everything” bulletin board to see some incredible real-life women of history, as well as a few favorite fictional women.
