As the weather cools, our library is full of excitement and curiosity! From monster trucks to nanoscience and brave adventures, students are diving into stories that spark wonder and imagination.

The kids loved Fly Guy so much last week that we read another Fly Guy story this week! Fly Guy Presents: Monster Trucks by Tedd Arnold taught us all about monster truck bodies, frames, and the different kinds of tracks—like circle tracks, J-shaped tracks, and straight-line tracks. We even watched a short monster truck competition to see awesome tricks in action, like “Big Air” jumps and wheelies!

Meet another amazing character series: Yasmin! In this series by Saadia Faruqi, curious and creative Yasmin explores the world around her, solving problems with courage, imagination, and heart. Yasmin explores what it means to be a doctor in Yasmin the Doctor. When her father isn’t feeling well, Yasmin jumps into action, using skills she learned at school to diagnose and care for her patient.

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like up close—really close? Grades 3–4 explored Nano: The Spectacular Science of the Very (Very) Small, a fascinating book that uncovers how all the materials we see every day are made of teeny-tiny atoms and molecules. Through colorful illustrations and mind-blowing facts, students discovered how nanoscience helps create everything from stronger fabrics to cleaner energy. It was a big adventure into a very, very small world!

Grade 5 classes set sail this week with The Antlered Ship by Dashka Slater, illustrated by The Fan Brothers. The story follows a curious fox named Marco who joins a crew of animals on a ship with antlers to search for answers to his big questions. Along their journey, they face storms, surprises, and learn that teamwork and friendship make every adventure worthwhile.
本周五年级的同学们跟随《鹿角船》开启奇幻航行！这部由达什卡·斯莱特创作、范氏兄弟绘制插画的佳作，讲述了好奇小狐狸马可加入动物船员队伍，乘着神奇鹿角船追寻生命答案的冒险故事。在航行中，他们穿越风暴、邂逅惊喜，最终领悟到团队协作与真挚友谊才是旅途中最珍贵的收获。
