Even the smallest of creatures can have crazy lives! Diary of a Spider by Doreen Cronin is about the daily life of a little spider–his best friend the fly, going to spider school, and the terrors of shoes and vacuum cleaners. This story is one of many charming books by the author Doreen Cronin, many of which we have in the library!
微小生命亦有奇趣日常！朵琳·克罗宁的《蜘蛛的日记》以小蜘蛛视角记录生活点滴——它和苍蝇挚友的趣事、蜘蛛学校的日常，还有对鞋子和吸尘器的终极恐惧。这本妙趣横生的作品只是朵琳众多佳作中的一例，图书馆里还收藏着她的许多其他作品呢！
Our grade 2 students also learned the power of tiny animals while reading the classic fable The Lion and the Mouse. In this traditional tale, a mighty lion shows kindness to a tiny mouse, and the mouse repays the kindness when the lion needs help. A powerful story about empathy, gratitude, and the importance of helping others regardless of size or strength.
二年级同学们在共读经典寓言《狮子与老鼠》时，也领悟到微小生灵的力量。这个古老传说中，威猛的狮子对小老鼠施以善意，而当狮子遇困时，老鼠以涌泉相报。这个关于共情、感恩的故事深刻启迪我们：帮助他人不应因对方强弱而动摇。
Older Primary G3-5 年级小学生
Big and small adventures happen to kids all around the world! This week, students explored realistic chapter books set in different parts of the world: Sona Sharma – Very Best Big Sister for Grade 3 and Magnolia Wu Unfolds It All for Grade 4. After reading, they looked at photos and talked about the similarities and differences between growing up in China and living in places like India or the United States. The activities helped them see how kids everywhere share common experiences, even while their cultures and daily lives can look very different.
全世界的孩子们都在经历大大小小的成长冒险！本周，同学们探索了设定在不同国度的现实主义章节书：三年级《索娜·夏尔玛：最棒的大姐姐》与四年级《吴木兰花绽放记》。阅读后，大家通过照片对比讨论在中国、印度或美国等地成长的异同。这些活动让孩子们发现：即便文化背景与日常生活千差万别，世界各地的童年仍共享着相似的成长内核。
Our grade 5 students took a trip to sub-Saharan Africa to learn about one of the toughest animals on the planet! Honey Badgers by Marie Roesser shows how honey badgers use sharp claws, strong jaws, and bold behavior to survive in harsh environments, while also explaining their habitats, diet, and surprising habits. With exciting photos and clear facts, it helps students understand how animals adapt and what it takes to thrive in the wild.
五年级同学们开启了一场撒哈拉以南非洲之旅，认识了这颗星球上最勇猛的生物之一！玛丽·罗瑟的《蜜獾》揭示了这种动物如何运用利爪、铁颌与无畏精神在严苛环境中生存，同时详解它们的栖息地、食性与惊人习性。透过极具冲击力的影像与清晰数据，同学们理解了动物如何适应自然法则，以及野外生存所需的非凡特质。
