Library Lessons for G2 二年级图书馆课程
Many people know the story of Goldilocks and the three bears–finding a “Just Right” book is very similar! Using this technique, students can judge if a book is too easy, too difficult, or just right for them. Ms. Maria Li created an activity with different leveled book bins to make it even easier for students to find the perfect book.

In The Great Fuzz Frenzy by Janet Stevens and Susan Stevens Crummel, a hilariously confused colony of prairie dogs are baffled by something new in their territory. Hidden among all the giggles and green fuzz was a little lesson about sharing, kindness, and friendship. Without a doubt, our most entertaining HMH reading adventure so far!

Why do authors write books? Several of our G2 classes focused on understanding and identifying Author’s Purpose. We focused on three main reasons: to persuade, to inform, or to entertain. Students picked books and then recorded the author’s purpose and evidence to support their decision. Great practice for analyzing literature!
